Works as described
FYI, if 5 volts is applied to the input, the 5 volt output will be 2.5 volts. Also there are no mounting holes on this unit. You must insert it in a breadboard being careful to make sure the underside pins are not shorted together by the layout of the breadboard. I put mine into a perfboard in my application. If you want the 5 volts out, you will need to put power in through the coaxial connector.
 
Schematic incorrect
The schematic shows AM1117 as the voltage regulator, a part that does not exist. It should be AMS1117.
